I was at Red Lobster working on a Monday, Memorial Day when John came in and told me that he had a surprise for me at home. I was so excited to find a dozen roses and a new grill for our house. John informed me that it was just the beginning of many surprises throughout the week.

On Tuesday morning, John got up early and cooked breakfast for me. He knows just how much I love pancakes.

Wednesday was a very exciting day for John. We were flying to Texas and it was John's first time in an airplane. He acted like a little kid. He was so excited and loved flying.

We decided to spend Thursday at the biggest water park in the world (Schliterbahn).

We stayed all day and were so wore out when we got back to the house. Later that night, John surprised me again by singing me "I will be here". He was so nervous singing, but did such a good job.

Friday morning we drove to Corpus Christi. We had so much fun playing on the beach all afternoon.

After getting all dressed up for dinner, John wanted to go on the beach to pray. I thought that it was a great idea. The sun was setting and it was beautiful outside. John put a towel down for us to sit on. Before we started to pray, John told me to keep my eyes closed when we finished. I had a feeling I knew what was coming. I cried the whole time we were praying. When John finally told me that I could open my eyes, he had written "WILL YOU MARRY ME" in the sand.

Of course I said YES. I cried a little more. Even though it was just a short time that we were together, I had been waiting for this day to come since I met John. Everything was so perfect.
